RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL - CHRIST OUR LIGHT

Sunday, March 21st . By Pastor Chris  _*In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not (John 1:4-5).*_   In John 8:12, Jesus said, _*“…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”*_ Again, in John 9:5, He said, _*“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”*_ For anyone to live without Christ, therefore, is to live in gross darkness, utter hopelessness, confusion, and be void of beauty. Light defines; gives direction, beauty, and illumines.  See Also:  Rhapsody of Realities for 20 March 2021 You can’t even know yourself outside Christ; only under His light is your true identity and personality revealed. The Bible says with Him is the fountain of life: in His light shall we see light (Psalm 36:9). Hallelujah!  If you use all the lights in the world to define your life, you’re sunk, because you’re sur...

DAILY TONIC

Psalm 119:2 "Blessed [are] they that keep his testimonies, [and that] seek him with the whole heart." Halleluya. The Word is admonishing you this morning that YOU SHOULD BE A GOD SEEKER AND TESTIMONY KEEPER. He is also reminding you that the one that SEEKS GOD WITH THE WHOLE OF HIS HEART IS BLESSED. One of the ways to seek God is to FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM. IN HIM, YOU HAVE DIRECTION, FREEDOM AND BLESSINGS. Beloved, as you SEEK GOD WITH THE WHOLE OF YOUR HEART in the service of this day, He shall visit you to GIVE YOU DIRECTION AND FREEDOM AS HE BLESSES YOU TREMENDOUSLY. YOU SHALL COME BACK REJOICING WITH YOUR TESTIMONIES IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.  Remember to stay safe and GENUINELY SEEK GOD WITH THE WHOLE OF YOUR HEART.  Good morning and blessed service ahead.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: SUNDAY 21ST MARCH 2021. THEME: PREACH THE WORD

MEMORISE: Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.  2 Timothy 4:2 READ:  Luke 8:38-39 38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him. MESSAGE: There is a scarcity of watchmen in the Church today. This does not mean that there are no evangelists; the challenge, however, is the scarcity of those who are actually preaching the word. Many Christians enjoy God's grace, forgiveness, healing, breakthrough, peace and joy from the preaching of others but fail to share this good news so more people can also benefit from God's benevolence. THE WORD FOR TODAY WRITTEN BY BOB & DEBBY GASS - DEALING WITH FEAR (5)

Psalm 27:1 NKJV An old adage says, "Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is." It exaggerates the problem, and as a result, you expend valuable energy in ways you shouldn't. For example, sometimes you avoid things that can't really harm you at all. Like the man who returned to his vacation cabin from a hike, badly scratched and bruised. "What happened?" his wife asked. "I met a snake on the trail," he answered. "Don't you remember," his wife responded, "the park ranger told us yesterday that none of the snakes up here are poisonous?" Her husband replied, "They don't have to be poisonous if they can make you jump off a twenty- foot cliff!" Clearly the man's fear - not the snake - was the problem. See Also:  Dealing with Fears (4) Charles Spurgeon once said, "Anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but...today of its strengths." As long as you allow fear to take the wheel, you'll never go w...

JOKE, BUT FULL OF MESSAGES!!!

So my husband was making a joke yesterday evening during dinner... He said: "When Adam's wife offered him the fruit and he collected, God didn't interfere, He didn't jump in saying: “stop Adam, don't eat...” And when Abraham's wife told him to impregnate her maid, God didn't interfere, and when his wife wanted the maid out, God told him; “guy, listen to your wife"  Obviously, God doesn't interfere in WIFE BASED DECISIONS, because the wife has a similar role to that of the Holy Spirit "a Help"... So any decision she HELPS you make, any condition it lands you, good luck to both of you!!! Like I said, it was a joke, not a theory, okay? And we laughed hard about it...  Afterwards though, I went to my bed and thought deeply about the presumed "Joke".  And I had to pray, "Lord please don't let me make a decision that will wreck my husband". Whether you are married or not, you are a potential woman in a man's life. Ho...

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THAT ROOM ONCE IN A WHILE

There was this young, poor and wretched hunter. His family was nothing to write home about. He was very poor and miserable. ONE DAY, the KING of his village died and when they consulted the ORACLE, this young man was picked to be the next KING despite the fact that his linage has nothing to do with the kingship linage. ON THE DAY OF CORONATION, he wept so bitterly as he could not imagine the crown being put on his poor head. After the Coronation, he asked that an extra one room should be built in the Palace compound and the things to be kept in that room are just his catapult, hunting boots, hunting dresses and all his hunting instruments. ANY TIME he is tempted to be proud, arrogant, think too highly of himself or talk rudely to his subjects, he will go into that room and once he sees all his hunting instruments and dresses; they remind him of his humble beginning and make him humble the more. He said that, that room is the most beautiful room in the whole palace. Though what is in th...

OUR DAILY BREAD

March 20 | Bible in a Year: Joshua 4–6; Luke 1:1–20 LOVING CORRECTION Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise. Proverbs 15:31 *READ Luke 10:38–42* For more than fifty years, my dad strove for excellence in his editing. His passion wasn’t to just look for mistakes but also to make the copy better in terms of clarity, logic, flow, and grammar. Dad used a green pen for his corrections, rather than a red one. A green pen he felt was “friendlier,” while slashes of red might be jarring to a novice or less confident writer. His objective was to gently point out a better way. When Jesus corrected people, He did so in love. In some circumstances—such as when He was confronted with the hypocrisy of the Pharisees (Matthew 23)—He rebuked them harshly, yet still for their benefit. But in the case of his friend Martha, a gentle correction was all that was needed (Luke 10:38–42). While the Pharisees responded poorly to His rebuke, Martha remained one of His dearest friends...
